About
For the majority of my life, I lived in Vancouver, BC, Canada, where I completed a Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology at the University of British Columbia, and a doctorate degree in Naturopathic Medicine at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine. I currently reside in California, and practice at Naturopathic Family Health in San Jose.
I value a natural approach to healthcare that focuses on establishing a foundation of health in which the body can thrive and reach its full potential. Creating a healthy lifestyle that includes a nutritious diet, appropriate physical activity, restorative sleep, and well-managed stress sets the stage for the healing process. Specific natural treatments are personalized to each individual patient, and often include a combination of dietary and lifestyle counselling, herbal medicine, and nutritional supplementation. I have a general family practice and see many different medical conditions, but my specific clinical focus is in women’s health, hormone balancing, stress management, and mental health.
Apart from my adoration of working with patients to improve their health and well-being, I love spending time in nature. Growing up in the mountains on the coast of British Columbia sparked my love of exploring the outdoors at an early age, and it has remained an important part of my life ever since. I enjoy hiking, rock climbing, skiing, surfing, and gardening. I also love to cook, and enjoy the creative aspect of combining nutritious ingredients together to produce delicious wholesome meals. As a naturopathic doctor, my entire approach to health revolves around the healing power of nature, whether it involves medicinal plant extracts, nutritious whole foods, or experiencing the beneficial effects of spending time in nature.
